1995 Bathurst Winner VR Commodore Larry Perkins and Russell Ingall 1-18 diecast model

The 1995 Bathurst Winner VR Commodore driven by Larry Perkins and Russell Ingall has just arrived in store.

Produced by Classic Carlectables in 1:18 scale.
Product number 18275.

1995 was the first time in history that Bathurst was run for just two marques, Holden and Ford.
The Perkins engineered VR Commodore was built to win and with the equipment and pre-race strategy sorted, Larry Perkins
and co-driver Russell Ingall set out, determined.

They started 3rd and the beginning of the race was significant, with contact sending Perkins to the pits with a deflated tyre.
After a terrible start, during the race Larry and Russell fought their way through the field. By mid-race both HRT cars were out
and Perkins and Ingall were on the same lap as the leaders.
By lap 152, Seton's Falcon slowed with a broken valve spring and Larry stormed past, to a loud reception from the Holden crowd.

Who would have imagined the demise of both HRT cars and Seton's bad luck would pave the way for Perkins 5th victory and Ingall's 1st, scoring a historic 'last to first' outright win in The Great Race.

Limited to 4500

The interior features the dash, displays, instrument stack, levers, fuse panel and the Momo race wheel.
The engine bay features a removable carbon fibre cover and air filter. The canisters and leads are all well shown.
