The 1978 Bathurst Ford XC Cobra Hardtop Allan Moffat and Jacky Ickx has just arrived in store.

1977 was such a good season for the Moffat Ford Dealer Team with their domination in the Australian Touring Car Championship and their one - two Bathurst finish.
Unfortunately 1978 was to be a totally different story. They were to face a much stronger, cashed up Holden Dealer Team. Reliability became a major issue for the Falcons trying to keep up with the improved A9X's. After Ickx overshot Hell Corner, the number one Cobra soon developed engine problems. Moffat decided that after 81 laps the Cobra should be parked for the last time.
The number one Moffat Ford Dealer Team XC Cobra Falcon promised so much for the 1978 Bathurst Endurance Race, but failed to finish.
