1977 Bathurst Holden Torana A9X Bob Morris and John Fitzpatrick 1:18 Diecast Model

The 1977 Bathurst Holden Torana A9X driven by Bob Morris and John Fitzpatrick has just arrived in store.
Having won the 1976 Hardie Ferodo in the L34, the Ron Hodgson Team, lead by Bobby Morris, elected to compete in the '77 edition of the Great Race in the four door A9X. Most of the top Holden teams had moved to the new two door version, the Ron Hodgson Team ran the four door - essentially an L34 with slightly modified body kit and a refined rear suspension assembly, including disc brakes. The Morris/Fitzpatrick Torana qualified well, 2.5 seconds off the pole sitter - Brock - in 7th, but on race day it was all about the Fords, or more particularly, all about the Ford Dealer Team headed by Moffat.
Both Ron Hodgson cars had a terrible day, the Rutherford/Guthrie car didn't make it to the first pitstop, with Rutherford ending their day on lap 13 in an accident with Bob Holden at the top of McPhillamy.
Morris and Fitzpatrick had a better day, until lap 110, when an engine oil seal failed, ending their event.
The spectacular looking Morris/Fitzpatrick LX A9X has been faithfully replicated by Biante, right down to the "Go get em Torana" sticker on the boot lid.
