1988 Silverstone Ford Sierra RS500 Johnson/Bowe

Dick Johnson and John Bowe’s #41 Ford Sierra RS500 that they raced in England – at the 1988 RAC Tourist Trophy at Silverstone.
This was Round 10 of the European Touring Car Championship and the little Redkote Sierra took pole with a 1:35.490, over a second faster than the Texaco Sierras that won (until they were excluded) the 1987 James Hardie 1000. A water pump failed however and the Australians came home empty handed, although, they did show the Brits that they didn’t have the fastest Sierra’s in the world – we did.

This car forms part of the Dick Johnson Collection, and the certificate will be signed by both Dick Johnson and John Bowe.

This Sierra will also be the first off Biante's  Brand New Tooling, not Autoart, not Minichamps, but our own, brand new tool.>>
